These movies and books were part of the inspiration for the diet. They helped give us ideas on how we eventually managed and designed the NFI diet.

Forks over knives

– Released in May 2011, this documentary was made by Lee Fulkerson and produced by John Corry. It is about how you can improve various illnesses with a plant-based diet.

What the health

- This is a documentary made by Kip Anderson and Keegen Kuhn. It looks at the links between meat and dairy and potential health risks they may cause.

Recommended books

The China Study

– A book - about a major study conducted in China in the 1970s and 80s - authored by Prof T.Colin Campbell and Jacob Gould Schurman published in 2004.

How not to die

– A book by Dr Michael Gregor first published in December 2015 linking food nutrition to chronic illnesses.
